Data You Give Us Directly
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Harrisburg Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those searches on its own servers. If you contact us, the information in that message is used only to respond.
Data We Gather Automatically
Routine hosting logs may include an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. Those entries are reviewed in aggregate for security, service operation, and page-use trends. Cookies and similar tools may also support basic analytics or advertising measurement where used.
What We Do With This Data
That limited data supports operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and page improvements. Visitor lists are not sold, and individual visitor profiles are not created.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Dauphin County and Pennsylvania records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. A linked service has its own privacy terms for information submitted there. Sponsored search results are likewise supplied by a third party.
Who Might See Your Data
Hosting and support providers process the server information needed to operate the service. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. Data is disclosed only when valid legal process requires disclosure.
How We Protect Your Data
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for as long as the stated operational purposes require. Because there are no visitor accounts, no account password or user profile is maintained here.
Users Under 18
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. Personal information from a person under 18 is not knowingly collected. If a minor has sent information to us, contact us so it can be deleted.
Your Data Rights
Depending on where a visitor lives, access, correction, or deletion rights may apply to personal data a website keeps. Pennsylvania has no verified enacted comprehensive consumer-data privacy law creating a general statewide deletion right. Because this service keeps very little, a request normally involves checking the contact mailbox and relevant logs, then removing any data located there. Use the Contact page to make a request. Government records held by Pennsylvania, Dauphin County, or Harrisburg are outside this service’s control; direct a removal or correction request to the record custodian.
Pennsylvania record access follows the Right-to-Know Law, Act 3 of 2008, 65 P.S. §§67.101-67.3104. RTKL §708 protects many identifiers, while Pa.R.J.A. 4014 governs court redactions. The Pennsylvania Address Confidentiality Program, 23 Pa.C.S. ch. 67, protects eligible participants’ actual addresses, and the federal DPPA, 18 U.S.C. §§2721-2725, controls personal motor-vehicle information. Those laws do not create a general request to remove a government record from every custodian.
